Major/minor & Career Goals

Major
Exercise Science Major

I chose an Exercise Science major because I believe it will prepare me the best for Physical Therapy graduate school as it is a hands-on major that is not only health related but also works with the public in a variety of ways.

Minor
Health Administration minor

This minor has the capability to prepare me for a variety of situations and roles within any setting of a healthcare facility. Although, it prepares you for more managerial roles, it provides me with a basic foundation of knowledge in administration and finance as well as leadership, problem solving, and critical thinking skills that will all come in handy within therapy.
Career Goals
Physical Therapy
I am currently majoring in an Exercise Science major on the pre-PT track. I have always been intrigued by anatomy and physiology and how the human body functions. I am also interested in the science behind organisms, but specifically want to increase my knowledge on structures and functions of the human body, it’s motion and ways I can improve people’s health and mobility. I plan to pursue this degree and augment with other interdisciplinary courses that will increase my understanding of therapeutic techniques and body mechanics to help solve problems and improve patient care.
